Artisan Studio
Lin Yuan
For more than two decades, Lin Yuan has shaped quiet ceramic objects through hand forming, small-batch firing, and repeated experiments with pale glaze, ash, and time.
Maker Story
The person behind the work.
Lin does not begin with decorative ambition. Most pieces start from repeated daily gestures: lifting a cup, rinsing a bowl, placing a single flower near a window. The work is quiet because the making process is quiet.
Clay is wedged by hand, edges are softened after drying, and each glaze is accepted only when the surface feels calm rather than perfect. Small variations remain visible so the final object can still carry the hand that made it.
Craft Practice
Material, time, and repeated handwork shape the collection.
Ceramics from Jingdezhen are presented through documented origin, careful product media, and a direct connection between maker and collector.
